Installing ConstructSim Executive

In an Explorer window, click the ConstructSim Executive setup executable. The InstallShield Wizard dialog opens and begins preparations for installation.
The Welcome screen displays when preparation of the installer has completed. Click Next to continue installation. The End-User License Agreement page opens.
After reading the license agreement, click the "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" check box if you understand and agree to the License Agreement Terms and Conditions. Click Cancel if you decline the License Agreement Terms and Conditions. Agreeing to the license agreement is required in order to install the product.
(Optional) Click Print to print the license agreement.
Click Next. The Customer Information page opens.
(Optional) Change the user name and/or add an organization title in the respective fields.
Select whether the application should be installed for all users or only for the user installing the application (administrator).
Click Next.
The Choose Setup Type page opens. Here you can select whether you want to install a Complete or Custom setup.
- Complete - installs all of the program features without any customizations.
- Custom - lets you choose which of the program features you want to install as well as where they will be installed.
To do a complete installation, select Complete and then click Next. When the Ready to Install the Program page opens, click Install. The installation page opens and the Status bar shows the progress of the installation.
If you would like to customize your installation instead, select Custom, and then click Next. The Custom Setup page opens. Here you can select which features you want to install and the location to which the feature will be installed.
- (Optional) To change where the features will be installed, click the Change button to the right of the Install to: field. In the Change Current Destination Folder page that opens, navigate to the drive and folder in which you want to install the application, and then select OK.
- (Optional) To view additional help information, select Help.
- After making the desired customizations, click Next. The Ready to Install the Program page opens.
- Click Install to begin installation of the program. The installation page opens and the Status bar shows the progress of the installation.
When installation of the program is complete, the InstallShield Wizard Completed page opens.
(Optional) If you would like to activate the product using the Product Activation Wizard, select the Launch the Product Activation Wizard check box. For more information, see ConstructSim Executive Product Activation.
Click Finish. A program group is created for this product. If you chose to use the Product Activation Wizard in the previous step, it opens.

When you install the application the following log files are created:

BentleyInstallationlLog.log: This log file contains information about all the actions and analysis performed by the installation setup wizard. It also saves the installation commands used to install the application. In case of any error in the installation, it stores the error code. The string LOG_FILES_FOLDER in this file points to the installation log folder location. This file is common for all the Bentley products. Each time a Bentley application is installed, this log file is appended with the content of the application.
Installation log: When you install the application, its installation log is created. This log is saved in a new folder created inside C:\Users\User.Name\AppData\Local\Temp. The name of the new folder is randomly generated, such as E32830B5-3516-489D-AE49-EB1BD8A10867. If you execute the installation multiple times, the latest log can be taken from the last modified/created folder. The LOG_FILES_FOLDER string in the BentleyInstallationlLog.log file also points to the installation log folder location.
